The History of The Ladies Auxiliary in The Year of

1948

• First meeting called to order on July 20, 1948 by Mrs. Roland Duke who helped to organize the auxiliary.
• Each chairman picked her own committee. 
• Dues were $1.00 a year. 
• Meetings were held on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 p.m.

• Constitution and By-Laws were read and discussed at the August 10, 1948 meeting.
• First card party was held on November 10, 1948.
• Motion was made and seconded at the December 14th meeting to purchase chairs for the firehouse.
• Motion was made and seconded to serve refreshments at each meeting.
