| At 0238 hours, Stations 2, 22, 7, Charles 2, Truck 7 and Ambulance 298 were alerted to 28310 Flora Corner Road for the reported house under construction on fire. Engine 23 (FF Rawlings) arrived on the scene, laid approximately 800' of 4" LDH into the scene and reporting a two story residence under construction with fire showing on "Side Alpha". Chief 2A (Raley) arrived and assumed command advising he had a vehicle well involved on side "charlie" and investigating further. After further size-up, command advised to hold the assignment with the units from Station 2 and Ambulance 298. A firefighter knocked down the fire in the residence with a water can while other crew members advanced two 1.75" attack lines, one to the interior of the residence and the other to the well involved sport utility vehicle. Smelling an accelerant in the structure and a burn pattern consistent with it, the fire marshal was requested to the scene. The scene was turned over to the Fire Investigator and units cleared shortly afterwards. Units operated on the scene for just over an hour. |
