At 1826 hours, Station 2, EMS Stations 29, Charles 2, 15 and Medic 3 were alerted to the area of Mechanicsville Road and Carpenter Drive for the motor vehicle accident. Inital reports advised one into a utility pole with the occupant having chest pains.

Squad 2 (Lt. Hemming) arrived and confirmed a utility pole had been sheared off and the vehicle came to rest into a tree. The Lieutenant established command and advised there was only one occupant and to hold the closest BLS unit. The remaining EMS units were returned.

The crew secured the vehicle, provided patient care and eventually removed the occupant and turned her over to Charles Ambulance 28, who transported her to St. Mary's Hosptial, priority three.

The squad cleared shortly afterwards as the scene was turned over to the St. Mary's Sheriff's Department.
