| At 2117 hours Station 2 was alerted to the 26000 block of Mechanicsville Road for a vehicle on fire. Safety 2 (Pullium) arrived on the scene and advised that he had a working vehicle fire. He advised there was magnesium burning on the vehicle and for the crew to bring a dry chemical extinguisher as well when they arrived. The vehicle was a total loss. On a side note this was Firefighter/EMT Carlos Mays' first job. Well done lad!! |
