| On Monday Jan. 3rd, 2005 members refreshed their ventilation skills on the new roof simulator built last summer. Members were spilt into crews of two and had to cut either a 4 x 4 vent hole, or make a trench cut. Crews were put to the test as the simulator has a 10-12 pitch. Members were not required to wear breathing apparatus during these evolutions (do to it being the first time using the simulator) but did need to bring any tools necessary to perform the task given. At the conclusion, members all agreed the simulator proved to be a great addition to the departments training program.
