| April 3, 2004, at 1933 hours Stations-2, EMS Station-29, and Charles-2 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Old Village Road and Lockes Crossing Road. Rescue Squad-2 responded and Fireboard Communications advised that it was going to be a single vehicle into a utility pole.
Rescue Squad-2 arrived confirming a vehicle had completely severed a utilities pole at the ground and there were two occupants. The Squad established the Old Village Road Command and half of its crew went to work on securing a gas leak and the others started patient care on one of the injured. Ambulances-297, 299, and EMS 29 arrived on the scene shortly after taking over patient care. Charles Ambulance 28 was placed in service and Command released 299 for another call in their first due.
Rescue Squad-2 remained on the scene to assist the tow company with fire protection due to the sizable gas leak. The squad went in service at 2023 hours. |
