July 7, 2023

On Thursday, July 7th, The Naval District Washington Fire Department Company 13 and the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department with the support of every Fire Department in St. Mary’s County, many departments from across the region and country, numerous EMS Departments, and many County, State, and Federal agencies laid to rest Firefighter Brice C. Trossbach.

Brice was killed in the line of duty in the early morning hours of June 27, 2023, from injuries sustained while operating at a house fire in Leonardtown.

Brice made the ultimate sacrifice for the community he loved and that same community treated him with the utmost respect and honor to give him the send-off he deserved.

Rest in Peace Brice. We’ll take it from here.
