On Friday afternoon just prior to 1700 hours, Company 5, Rescue 2, and surrounding EMS units were alerted to Maddox Road and Danny’s Lane for the Motor Vehicle Accident with reported entrapment.

Rescue 2 and the Fire Chief went enroute with 6 personnel at dispatch. First arriving units confirmed reports of one patient in a truck on its side, trapped. Rescue 2 arrived shortly after Squad 5 and Engine 5 and went to work assisting with stabilization of the vehicle. Crews then worked to “flap” the roof of the pick up truck to gain access to the operator.

Rescue 2 operated for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service. Chief 5 held command of the incident.
