Volunteers Start the Day with an Extrication

At 0750 hours Squad 2, Squad 5, Company 29, Company 59, and SMALS were dispatched to Budds Creek Road and Mechanicsville Road for the “T-Bone” Style collision with one trapped.

Command 2 and Squad 2 arrived to find 2 vehicles with 2 patients, one requiring extrication. Command 2 established command and the Squad crew went to work removing the drivers side of the vehicle to extricate the patient.

A helo was requested for the trapped patient. Engine 24 responded to establish a landing zone at Chaptico Park. The patient was subsequently flown by Trooper 7 to PG hospital.
