| Mechanicsville firefighters continue to stay busy and on Monday morning March 11, 2002, Stations 22, 2 and Charles 2 were alerted for a reported house on fire at 29913 Therese Circle. The residence was just a few doors down from Station-22, which prevented the structure from being a total loss.
Engine-224 arrived on scene, Side-1, with smoke showing and advanced a line through the front door. The working fire dispatch was sounded bringing Charles Station-5, Rescue Squad-7 and an ambulance from EMS Station-29. Crews found one victim suffering from smoke inhalation and she was transported to St. Mary's Hospital as a Priority-2 patient.
The fire, which originated from the chimney, caused significant damage to the living room area of the residence and smoke damage throughout. |
