| At 1616 hours, the structure fire assignment was sent to the area of 39404 Mount Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall for the reported shed fire. This alerted Stations 2, Charles 2, 22, Charles 5, Charles Truck 3 and EMS Station 29. A strong storm was rolling thru the area at the time. Fire Chief 2 staged all units, with the exception of Charles Engine 22, at the end of the hard suface on Mount Wolf Road as the incident was located about two miles in on a narrow dirt road. Approaching the scene a large column of smoke was visible and the first two tankers were advised to proceed back. Charles Engine 22 and Fire Chief 2 arrived on the scene with a shed well involved and impeding on two others, A crosslay was advanced and the fire was darkened down as Engine 224 (Capt Cox) arrived and advanced a second line. Once the two additional exposures were checked, the assignment was scaled back to the units operating and the tankers in staging The additional tankers were released and units wrapped up after operating on the scene for over and hour and thirty minutes. |
