One Flown from Mechanicsville Accident

Members heard the sound of what appeared to be a motor vehicle collision on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville and loaded up on the rescue. As they were pulling out, Ambulance 298 called Fireboard and reported the accident. Immediately after calling it in, they requested a medevac.

The assignment was started at 1538 hours bringing, Rescue Squad 2, Ambulance 298, Charles Paramedic Ambulance 28, Medic 391 and Engine 224. After units arrived and sized up the scene, Medic 391 was placed in service and command advised the medic off of Charles' unit would be utilized.

Firefighters secured the vehicles while EMS personnel tended to the patients.

Sgt. Copsey held the "Three Notch Road Command".

One patient was flown by Trooper 7and units operated on the incident for approximately thirty minutes.
