At 1310 hours, Station 2 was alerted for the engine and tanker to respond to 14950 Cooperative Place in Hughesville for the reported building fire.

Charles Tanker 2 arrived with a two story commercial structure with heavy smoke showing from the roof. As units started arrive, Charles Trucks 3 and 1 laddered the roof and firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire.

Tanker 2 arrived and supplied the fireground until the arrival of additional resources. Engine 21 responded but was placed in service and advised to return for the pumper-tanker. Engine 224 responded and staged before being released by command.

Units operated for just over an hour.
