At 1919 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted with surrounding stations for a motor vehicle accident on Point Lookout Road at Millies Lane. Initial reports were of entrapment.

Chief 2 arrived with a single vehicle into the woods, confirming entrapment. The rescue arrived and went to work removing tree limbs to gain access to the vehicle. The crew from the rescue and engine removed the drivers side and roof to access the patient. The dash was rolled in order to remove the patient from the vehicle.

Once assessed by EMS personnel, a consult to a trauma center was made and initially a ground transport was set up to the trauma center. An inquiry to Syscom in regards to a medevac and Trooper 7 advised they would attempt the mission. The weather originally had all medevacs grounded.

Engine 24 established the landing site for Trooper 7.

Units operated for approximately forty-five minutes.
