At 1537 hours, units were alerted to Carpenter Drive off Mechanicsville Road for a reported house on fire.

Engine 21 corrected the address and advised it would be off of Zane Court. Engine 21 arrived on scene with a two story, single family dwelling with fire showing from the attic on side "delta". The crew advanced a 1.75" crosslay to second floor and made quick work of the fire. A second line was advanced and crews opened up to check for extension.

Chief 2 established the "Zane Court Command" and scaled the incident back holding Engine 21, Rescue Squad 2, Charles Engine 1002B, Engine 73 and Truck 7. Command requested a fire marshal to the scene as no one was home at the time of the fire.

Units operated for approximately ninety minutes.
