From looking and seeing what you guys have all done for your community, and almost running the same amount that my dept runs, I was wondering what was going on for replacing your Squad? Are you guys getting a new one or are you just using E-222 for your primary Rescue?

My condolences to the members and officers of Mechanicsville VFD.
I worked for Billy in both Waldorf and Mechanicsville at Partco Auto Parts. Whenever I needed time off for Rescue Squad business Billy always allowed it. This included leaving work to respond to a Squad call. He will be missed by all of the fire and rescue community. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Thank you all for helping my dad, who was one of the victims in the crash on rt 5 on August 13. He is fighting for his life and he has a long road of recovery. Thank you for all of your support and rapid response to the scene to get him out.
My dad is the Fire Chief in Conover and just came up there not long ago to pick up Squad 2. I just wanted to say that this is an awesome truck and will make a great addition to the fleet as Rescue 1. This truck will serve the citizens of Conover as it has in Mechanicsville for years to come.
Working on SOG's for my department, downloading samples.

Saw the video, listened to the audio. Missed the big one in my own neighborhood! Anyway, looks like you all did a great job saving the house. Tough work around that debris at basement door. Good move upstairs. Stay safe!

Good stop on the attached garage fire yesterday. That thing was off... Not too often an attached garage burns to the ground with minimal damage to the house. Good tactics and hose line applications. Job well done!...couldn't find you guys on Facebook. WTH?

Not enough words can express my appreciation for you all in saving my house from the chimney fire yesterday, 10 Feb. I had a hard week and the chimney fire was the cherry on top to what I had endured earlier during the week.
The feeling of being powerless is not good to me but you all lifted the weight off my shoulders with the command of taking control and ensuring all was safe.
Thank you... thank you... I hope to not see you again under these circumstances.

I WANNA SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES ON NOV 19 2011. I WAS LUCKY THAT NO ONE WAS HURT WHEN I CROSSED ROUTE 5 FROM THE SOUTH BOUND SIDE AND WENT THROUGH THE FEILD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE FARMERS MARKET. THEY ARE STILL NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED NOR DO I BUT THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR ME.
I would just like to commend your fine department for the excellent 9/11 service that both you and the church put on this year marking the 10th anniversity of the attack on the United States of America. It is obvious to me and I'm sure others that you all have not forgotten all who lost their lives on this darkest of days.
Wouldn't it be nice if all the departments in St. Mary's County could get together on the 15th or 20th anniversity and show everyone that we all care for our departed brothers and sisters.
Your Fire Chief and President must be very proud of their members.

As a Former Member I look at this website quite often, it looks great & It brings back so many great memories. Thank you for all that you do in our community & keep up the good work!
I am thrilled to have browsed this website. I have always been a fan of firemen/women. I look highly on them. Their job is as dangerous as anyone could imagine. Saving lives is not that easy as one would think it is. Continue what you do best.
Thank you for the care you gave to Tammy and John. You guys are the BEST!
