I used to go to school with justin in middle and elementary school. We were close friends.I hadnt talked to him in a while but,when i heard the horrible news it hit me hard.I just want to send my condolences to his family.We wont forget you justin.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Justin's family. I did not know Justin but heard great things about him from my son. My son always praised Justin and commented on how talented he was. Justin you will be missed deeply.

I just wanted to say we are all sorry about the lost of one very special guy. Justin has touched all of our lives, even to those who didn't know him he has helped.Not once did he have an attitude. We are deeply sorry about this loss.

I remember when you guys lived in Charlotte Hall in my neighborhood, and we always used to go over your house, and we all basically grew up with eachother...i also remember one time we went over the mangums house and we went downstairs and we started jumping on the beds and had a blast....whenever i saw justin he always had a smile on his face!!!! Justin you were such a sweet person!!! And you had so much going for you!!! i will miss you teribly, and my heart goes out to the mangum family....if you guys ever need anything you know where we live and you know our number, don't hesitate to call!!! I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Justin, I personally did not know him as well as I wanted too, I've talked to him before at 2/29 when i was with my cousins Jeremy and Casey, and my experience with him was great, he would always talk about accidents and calls that he had gone on and how much the service meant to him, even though i come around to Mechanicsville once in awhile, not seeing Justin around anymore, I will feel terrible that one of out Fire/EMS service brothers died enroute to a call that most people wouldnt get up early in the morning to go to. My thoughts and prayers go out to Justin's family, friends and the members of the Mechanicsville VFD and RS Stations 2-22-29.

Although I didn't know Justin, I heard about him often through his cousin Tina. She talked of him often when I shared with her my EMT stories from "way up here" in Harford County. You have a great website and I feel like I knew him from your terrific memorial page you have dedicated to him. As a fellow EMT/IVT, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family, both at the firehouse and at home.

Mechanicsville Fire and Rescue...

None of you know who I am, and yet though I didn't know Justin directly I can say that he was the true essence of what it means to be a Fire Fighter.

I was informed of his passing by a brother of mine in Cobb Island, MD. He asked me to pause to remember him in prayer, and I have and will.

No fitting amount of words can ever be written or spoken to ease your pain. No amount of charit or sypathy can ever replace what you have all lost. While this is of little solace, remember always that the peace he now knows is the peace he so well deserved. Hopefully you can find healing in the words of the Lord:

"Greater Love Hath None Than This... To Lay Down One's Life For His Friends." St. John 15:13

May God be with you in your time of grief, and may St. Florian guide you on all your journeys.
