I have been a volunteer fire fighter for 33 years and teach rural water supply. I am always looking for different ideas to improve tanker shuttle operations. One technique that I have developed is by using an aerial as a tanker fill device. By extending the stick over a road and driving the tankers under the nozzle the tankers can be filled from the top with no connect or disconnect time. I know that few rural fire departments have aerials but if there is one within 30 minutes drive it could be special called. Keep up the good work.

On Friday November 24th I was visiting family in Mechanicsville when my Nephew had a car accident on Mechanicsville Rd about 2 miles from home and your station responded. We passed the scene just after it happened.but didn't know it was my Nephew.
From what we were told ya'll did a great job in taking care of my nephew and his friend. My nephew was airlifted and until he was taken you were very good at seeing to his needs.
Thank you for the great job.
I also wanted to say how nice your craft fair was on Sunday.

Just wanted to thank your team for attending and helping my father, who
died on November 9th in the Mechanicsville accident. He was 78 yrs old and a very good father and grandfather. He was a driver's education teacher for
24+ years and a high school math teacher in Howard County. We suspect he was visiting the hardware store close by the scene of the accident to try to find
some siding for his home. We are devistated by his passing and can only hope that the young lady involved in the other car is without serious injury. We wish he had not driven there that day and can never understand why. We went to see the scene of the accident and saw how fast the cars travel through this cautious
area, it is a very dangerous intersection. He is at peace now and we know he would have liked to have thanked you himself he was a humble man and would never want to have a fuss made about himself. We will miss him. Our heartfelt
thanks from Edward Strock's family. Thank you .
Thank YOU all for coming up this past weekend and "Bunkin' In" while we held our Annual Banquet. It was good to see all of you and I am glad that the evening wasn't a bore as you got to tour the rolling hills of the 21 Local and northeastern Cecil County. LOL! (Welcome to our world!)
You'll never have to worry about the relationship dying on this end!!! BE SAFE!!!!!!!
Congrats to Leah and Steve, they have a brand new baby boy!!!!! Stephen Riley Vallandingham born 3:13, 11-06-06. He weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. Leah, Steve and the baby are all healthy and doing well. You guys are in my prayers for a long road ahead of you..... ENJOY. Congrats again!!!! I love you guys :)

Dear Sirs:
Congratulations, good job!...when I was cheking the internet for some information about the use of plasma cutters your web site was the only one who shows the training and using of this equipment; now, my fire station purchased an ESAB Handyplasma 125 as an equipment for our Rescate 138 we hope use this equipment on our heavy rescue missions and in certains ocassions in vehicular extrications, we hope interchange experiences soon !
Hello, I really enjoyed looking at your web page(s). The professionalism, obvious comradeship and dedication to training and public outreach are terrific! It reminds me of when our Department was smaller, all volunteer and we knew we could take on any paid department at any time.
God Bless:
Tom Billington

Hi I like the videos you have on your site! Your trucks look great! I was a volunteer in Maryland and now live in Michigan. Things in Michigan are a lot different then in Maryland. Most of the departments are volunteer and they rely on pagers. They dont stay at the firehouse. A lot of the stations are pole barns. They go to calls in their cars and one person takes the truck out. When we have a first responder call they take their personal cars and no fire appuratus. Well anywway great site!!
I would like to see a donation link that some other fire departments have that is a direct link to Paypal, i for one would like it to make a donation once or twice a year.

The Dresden Volunteer Fire Department in Dresden, Ohio, has customized a Longaberger Basket and is taking orders until July 14, 2006. The lid features the logo of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Dresden Volunteer Fire Department's logo is burned on the bottom of the basket. The tag reads: "Honoring Our Fallen Heroes 2006". For more information, including photos & an order form, please visit the department's website at: http://www.dresdenfire.org/basket.html.
The Dresden Volunteer Fire Department is donating $2 from every basket sold to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (www.firehero.org) in memory of Greg Rodgers. Greg was a firefighter & EMT with the DVFD and died in the line of duty on December 13, 1999, while the department was engaged in fire operations at a barn fire. It is an honor for the department to make a donation in Greg's memory to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
The basket ships in 4 to 6 weeks, and would make a great gift for birthdays, promotions, retirements, graduations and Christmas. This basket is limited in production to the exact number ordered, and would be a feature at basket bingos and a great draw for raffles and auctions. Please visit the DVFD website for pictures and more information on this special collector's item @ www.dresdenfire.org .
Hey guys I just wanted to say Congrats on your Fire Week winnings! Keep up the good work!
