Quadruple Pull to Chaptico House Fire with a MAYDAY
Mechanicsville Volunteers, February 05
On Monday, at 1046 hours, Engine 2 and Tanker 2 were alerted to the 36300 block of Notley Woods Lane in Company 5s first due for a house fire.
Engine 23 and Tanker 2 immediately responded with 7 volunteers. As units were marking enroute, communications advised they were taking numerous calls advising the house was on fire. Rescue Squad 2 with an additional four volunteers added to the incident as ... (Full Story & Photos)

Company Goes to Colton’s Point House Fire
Mechanicsville Volunteers, February 02
At 2000 hours Company 2 and several EMS Units were alerted to Point Lookout Road and Chaptico Road for an MVA with injuries. Rescue Squad 2 and Engine 23 will 11 volunteers quickly made the response. Upon arrival they found an occupant having a medical emergency. Ambulance 29 assisted the patient.

MVFD Hosting Public Hearing on Fire Tax Rate Increase

**PUBLIC NOTICE**
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department requested authorization from St. Mary’s County Commissioners to hold public hearings and meetings to discuss a Fire Tax rate increase.
The Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the public hearing.

Mechanicsville Volunteers, January 13
On January 13, 2024, at 2246 hours, Engines 7, 1, 9, 13, Trucks 7, 13, Squad 3, and Tankers 1, 3, and 2 were alerted to 24251 Half Pone Point Road for a house fire.
Engine 23(filling in for Company 7), Tanker 2, and Chief 2 made the response.
Engine 23 arrived first, laid out from the driveway, deployed an attack line, and found fire coming from the chimney.

Rescue Squad Extricates One in Charlotte Hall
Mechanicsville Volunteers, January 12
On Friday evening as rain began to fall in the area, Rescue Squad 2, Rescue Squad 1003, and surrounding EMS Companies were alerted to Three Notch Road and Mohawk Drive for an MVA with reported entrapment.
Rescue Squad 2, Engine 23, and Chief 2A made the response. Chief 1002 and Rescue Squad 2 arrived first finding 3 vehicles involved in a “t-bone” style collision, with one patient trapped.
