And the Motor Vehicle Accidents Keep Coming

The bunkroom crew was alerted at 0449 hours for the motor vehicle accident on Three Notch Road in New Market. Squad 2 arrived to find two pick-up trucks involved in a rear end collision. There were a total of four injured who were transported by Charles Ambulances 27, 28, 58 and 517 to St. Mary's Hospital and Civista Medical Center.
Firefighters secured the vehicles and assisted with patient packaging. Units operated on the scene for just over an hour.

At 1606 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted with EMS units from Stations 29 and 59 to the area of Budds Creek Road and Maddox Road for one into a utility pole with wires down. Additional information advised of a possible brush fire started by the live wires on the ground.
Rescue Squad 2 (Lt. Shorter) arrived with the corrected address of Maddox Road in the area of Christ Church, confirming a pole sheared off, wires arcing and the subject out of the vehicle.
After further size up, the occupant did not want any medical treatment and signed a refusal. Firefighters remained on the scene to await the arrival of Southern Maryland Electric.
Units operated on the scene for approximately and hour and a half.
