Extrication in Charlotte Hall

At 1403 hours, Station 2, EMS Stations 29, Charles 2 and St. Mary's ALS were alerted to Three Notch Road and Charlotte Hall School Road for the motor vehicle accident with injuries. Additional information obtained advised of one trapped and Charles Rescue Squad 2 was added to the incident as was Charles EMS 15 as EMS 2 was unavailable.

Rescue Squad 2 (Sgt. Bellevou) arrived and established "Three Notch Road Command" and confirmed one trapped. A medevac had been requested by an EMS provider on the scene and Engine 24 responded to the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home landing pad for the landing site.

Firefighters made quick work of removing the door to free the trapped occupant, who was turned over to EMS personnel to continue care and packaging.

Trooper 7 medevaced the patient to Prince George's General.

Units operated on the scene for approximately an hour.
