At 0942 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted to 25100 Chalk Point Road at the Chalk Point Power Plant in Prince George's County for the building fire.

First arriving units found an old scrubber unit in the process of being demolished on fire. Squad 2 (FF/EMT Bowers) responded and staged at the entrance with other units. The fire was knocked down using master streams off of Calvert Tower 2 and Prince George's Tower 824. One worker sustained burns and was medevaced from the scene.

Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down, firefighters were sent into the scene and utilized handlines to mop up hot spots.
