| Volunteers ended the month of November with an automobile crash and started the month of December handling motor vehicle collisions. Friday night the volunteers handled a motor vehicle accident on Old Village Road. One subject was taken to St. Mary's Hospital by Ambulance 295. Rescue Squad 2, Engine 24 and the Fire Chief (Craig) responded to this incident. Saturday at around 1300 hours, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 28900 block of Thompson Corner Road. Initial reports were two vehicles, one being a US postal vehicle. One patient was transported from the scene by Charles Ambulance 27. Later in the afternoon, at 1500 hours, Stations 22, 2 and EMS units from 29 and Charles 2 were alerted to Golden Beach Road in the area of Allen Road for the motorcycle accident. Fire Chief 2 (Craig) arrived on scene and placed all units in service as it was property damage only. The Volunteers were awakened at 0201 hours early Sunday morning for a motor vehicle accident on Lockes Crossing Road. This incident was initially dispatched as a head-on collision. Units arrived to find one vehicle in the road and the other off in the ditch. There were three injuries, which required BLS transport to St. Mary's Hospital. Personnel off the squad assisted with patient removal from one of the vehicles, secured both vehicles and applied absorbant to the fluids that were on the roadway. |
