| Rescue Engine 222, Rescue Squad 2, EMS Stations 29, Charles 2 and Medic 3 were alerted to Golden Beach Road at the intersection of Jane Gay Way for the motor vehicle collision. A St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy was on scene advising there were three vehicles with at least three injured.
Charles Paramedic Ambulance 28 arrived on scene followed by Rescue Squad 2 (Lt Hemming). The "Golden Beach Road Command" was established by Lieutenant Hemming. After surveying the scene, the Squad crew popped the driver's door on one of the vehicles and the EMS crew requested a medevac for that patient. There were a total of four injured and two additional BLS units were alerted bringing Charles Ambulance 158 and Charles Ambulance 58 to the scene.
Rescue Engine 222 (FF/EMT Cenate) arrived and assisted the Squad crew, who were assisting EMS personnel with patient care and packaging.
Engine 24 responded and established the landing site at the helo pad located at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. This was at the request of Syscom Communications due to unstable weather conditions in the area. U.S Park Eagle 1 flew the priority two patient to Prince George's General.
Charles Ambulance 58 and Charles Ambulance 158 transported the other victims priority two to St. Mary's Hospital.
Units operated for just over an hour on the scene. |
