Early Morning MVC on Three Notch Road with Fatality |

| At 0147 hours Stations 2, 29, EMS 2 and the ALS Unit were alerted for a Personal Injury Accident on Three Notch Road in the area of the Hills Club. As units were marking up Fireboard advised of a Head-on Collision and possibly one priority 4 patient. With the provided information, Chief-2B requested that another Rescue Squad be added to the assignment, Hughesville Rescue Squad 2 was then alerted. Ambulance 296 was the first arriving unit confirming one priority 4 and two priority 1 patients, one of which had an arterial bleed. Chief-2A arrived and advised the actual location was Three Notch Road in the area of Lockes Hill Road while establishing the Mechanicsville Command. Rescue Squad-2 and Engine-23 arrived simultaneously, both crews began to assist with patient care and start extrication on the occupants of the white truck. Command then requested 2 helicopters for the priority 1 patients. After both patients were extricated Troopers 2 and 7 airlifted them to PGGH, Engine-23 handled the Landing Site. All units remained on the scene to assist SMCSO with their investigation. All units were the clear of the scene and in quarters by 0435 hours. |
