A crew went out on Friday the 13th in Engine-23 to train utilizing a dry hydrant. The hydrant they used was on Laurel Grove Road. The main reason for the evolution was to use the front intake in order to achieve a maximum flow rate, which was around 750GPM.

There are currently three dry hydrants in our first due with the plans on adding another in the near future in the Hearts Desire neighborhood.
