At 2014 hours Stations 2, 22, EMS Station 29, and St Mary's ALS were alerted for a reported car crash with a single vehicle overturned. Squad 2 and Chief 2 responded immediately. Fireboard Communications advised the patient was still in the vehicle. An off duty Sheriff's Unit arrived first, advising the patient was out of the vehicle and was complaining of neck and shoulder pain, and also confirmed there was only one patient. Chief 2 placed one of the two ambulances responding from company 29 in service, having the closest proceed in. Squad 2 and Ambulance 299 arrived at the same time to find a car on its roof, suspened over a ditch. The lone occupant of the vehicle was being tended to by EMS workers on the scene. Squad 2 assumed operations and Chief 2 had the Golden Beach Road command. The medic unit was placed in service, and Ambulance 299 transported the subject to St. Mary's Hospital as a priority 2 patient while the Squad crew stabilized and secured the vehicle. Chief 2 terminated the command and units went in service shortly after.
