| Today (Monday, April 20, 2026) at the St. Mary’s County Airport Terminal, members of the Mechanicsville VFD, along with several St. Mary’s County Department of Emergency Services EMS personnel, were recognized for their lifesaving efforts performed on a patient on March 1, 2026.
The members recognized were Sgt. Craig Polk, FF Callen Thompson, FF Delontaye Herbert, FF Evan Viestal, and FF Anthony Applebaugh. The efforts and highest quality of service provided by these personnel resulted in saving the life of Mr. John Burke. |
