Over the past year the department has been actively engaged in assessing our capabilities and exploring products to enhance our abilities on incidents that pertain to the Heavy Duty Rescue we operate. This has included many demos, classes and drills utilizing outside vendors, instructors, and the broad knowledge from many of our members with experience from other jurisdictions.

Just under a year ago the department purchased a large cache of Paratech Rescue Struts to increase our compliment we already carried and equip us for many more potential incidents we are already encountering.

Tonight is the first night of in-service training for this equipment as we just recently took delivery of it.

The department will also be receiving some other Rescue related equipment this week related to water rescues.
