Company Handles First Due House Fire |

At 1808 hours on January 9th, 2024, Engine 2, Tanker 2, Tanker 1, and Truck 1 were alerted to 29720 Point Lookout Road for a Reduced Structure Fire for a smoking outlet. Chief 2, Chief 2A, Chief 2B, Engine 23, Tanker 2, Tanker 24, and Rescue Squad 2 immediately went responding with 23 volunteers. Units arrived to a 3 story single family home with nothing evident. After entry was made smoke began issuing from the front door. Engine 23 placed one line in service and extinguished a working fire in the walls of the kitchen. Rescue Squad 2 performed searches and checked for extension on Divisions 2 and 3. Truck 1 assisted with ladders and Tanker 2 and Tanker 14 staged. The fire was extinguished in 10 minutes and units operated for about 45 minutes opening up checking for extension. Chief 2A held the “Helen Command.” |
