Company Responds to Double Fatal MVC in Charlotte Hall

On Sunday morning, at 0245 hours, Company 2 and EMS Stations 29 and 1002 were alerted to Three Notch Road and Golden Beach Road for an MVA with injuries, reported one vehicle.

Engine 21(Sgt. Polk), Engine 23(Capt. Burroughs), Chief 2, and Chief 2B marked up and communications advised there was a Charles County Sheriffs Deputy on the scene with subjects trapped and requesting aviation be started.

Squad 1002 and Squad 7 were added to the call. Chief 2 arrived first finding 3 vehicles, with 2 subjects trapped.

Engine 21, 23, and Squad 1002 arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicles and assessing there injuries. One patient was found to be a priority 4 and the other trapped patient was a priority 1. A third patient was walking wounded at the scene.

The priority 1 patient was extricated and all patients were turned over to EMS.

The Mechanicsville Volunteers would like to extend our condolences to the friends and families affected by this incident.
