MVA Reported Serious - One Saved with CPR and Narcan |

On Tuesday April 28, 2020 at 1425 hours, Company 2 was alerted to Budds Creek Road in the area of Thompson Corner Road in Mechanicsville for the Motor Vehicle Collision, reported serious with CPR in Progress. Squad 2(Chief Trowbridge) made the response shortly after dispatch. Squad 2 arrived on scene to find a passenger vehicle that had rear-ended a dump truck, with minor damage. The lone occupant was outside of the vehicle, with bystanders performing CPR. The patient was given a single round of Narcan by St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and loaded into the back of Medic Ambulance 296, where the patient regained consciousness and signed a refusal. The dump truck driver did not suffer any injuries. Squad 2 was on the scene for approximately 40 minutes. |
