Crews Run Serious Accident in Charlotte Hall

On May 7, 2019, at 2224 hours, Company 2 was alerted for a single motor vehicle collision with entrapment at the 38600 block of Mt. Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall. Chief 2, Squad 2, Engine 21, and Engine 23 made the response within a minute after dispatch.

Units arrived to find a single vehicle into a tree with one trapped. Crews quickly went to work stabilizing the vehicle utilizing the Res-Q-Jacks and began extricating the patient. Extrication was complete within minutes.

Trooper 6 was added to the call for a medevac. Engine 21 established the landing zone at the Prompt Care. Unfortunately, the patient succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Units operated for approximately 40 minutes on the scene. Chief 2 held the Mt. Wolf Road command.
