At 0449 hours, Squads 2 and 1002, EMS Companies 29, 79, 1002, and SMALS were alerted for a serious MVA with possibly one trapped at Three Notch Road and Baptist Church Road. Squad 2 arrived on scene first to find a T-bone style accident involving an unoccupied commuter bus and a pick up truck.

Captain Raley had arrived on scene just prior and advised Squad 2 that the patient was still in vehicle but not trapped.
No longer needing a second Rescue Squad, the call for Charles Squad 1002 was cancelled.

Paramedic Ambulance 1002 requested a helicopter for a Priority 2, category Bravo patient from the pickup truck.
Trooper 7 was alerted with the landing zone being held at the scene on Three Notch Road alerting Engine 1002 to handle the landing zone.

Maryland State Highway was also notified due to the amount of coolant leaking from the bus.

Ambulance 799 transported the driver of bus to St. Mary's Hospital and Trooper 7 transported the driver of the pick up truck to Prince George's Trauma Center. Units operated on scene for 1 hour.
