Just before 1900 hours Station 2 and surrounding companies were alerted for the shed fire in the 2800 block of Flora Corner Rd. Engine 23 responded immediately and arrived within several minutes of dispatch and laid out from Flora Corned Rd and Lindsey Way to find a 15x20 shed with a 30 foot lean-to style addition and equipment well involved.
Units stretched 2 handlines to quickly knock the fire preventing any extension to a nearby camper or the residence. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 10 minutes. Chief 2 arrived and established the Command, assigning Rescue Squad 2 the attack group.
The assignment was quickly scaled back to units from Company 2, Tanker 1002, and Ambulance 299.
