On Monday October 15th at 1900 hours, the Mechanicsville Volunteers participated in phase 2 of a 3 part Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) familiarization. This week members worked on finding the proper parts of their breathing apparatus while in full Personal protective equipment (PPE) and blind folded. The members then had to go through a prop that simulates a wall in a structure. Multiple methods were taught and demonstrated.

Next week the members will work on putting it all together and breaching walls with an entanglement hazard and getting into a safe environment.
