At 0656 hours, Engine Company 2 and Tanker 2 were alerted to 28347 Point Lookout Road for the reported house fire. Mechanicsville units were second due on the box. Engine 23(Sgt. Colomo) and Engine-Tanker 24(Capt. Barnes) made the response. Engine 23 and Capt. 1B were advised enroute that the fire was a result of a vehicle striking a power line and causing the fire to start.

Captain 1B arrived and advised of a two story single family home with fire showing from the Alpha side. Engine 23 was the first arriving engine company and was instructed to lay a line from 2 driveways short of the house on fire. Engine 23 deployed an 1 3/4" attack line and began to extinguish the bulk of the fire on Division 1 and 2.

Engine-Tanker 24 arrived with the rest of the units on the initial box alarm and reported to command for an assignment. Units operated for approximately an hour and a half knocking down hot spots and overhauling the structure.

Captain 1B held the command.
