At 1758 hours Station 7, Rescue Squad 2, Rescue Squad 1, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 29, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to the 26500 block of North Sandgates Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

Engine 72 arrived on location with Chief 7, who established the Command. They encountered a single vehicle on it's side with the occupant trapped. Engine 72's crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle and preparing for extrication. Rescue Squad 2 arrived and set up for extrication. The crews completed stabilization using the Res-Q-Jacks and Grip-Hoist. Once access was gained, it was found that the patient's leg was pinned under the driver seat. The extrication was completed in approximately twenty minutes.

The patient was flown to an area trauma center by Trooper 7.

The Rescue cleared and took in another run in Charles County.
