At 2043 hours, RES2CUE was alerted with Squad 1, EMS Stations 29, 19 and SMALS to a motor vehicle accident reported serious, with initial reports advising of a head-on style collision on Point Lookout Road at Colton Point Road.

Units arrived to find a two vehicle collision, confirming head-on with two trapped, one in each vehicle. A medevac was requested for each patient but after further assessment once extricated, one patient didn't require a flight to a trauma center. U.S. Park Police Eagle 1 flew the patient to an area trauma center while the other was taken to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital.

Units operated for forty-five minutes and the scene was turned over to law enforcement and State Highway. Point Lookout Road was closed for reconstruction.

Fire Chief 2 held the "Point Lookout Road Command".
