At 2122, shortly after returning from the house fire, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted to Baptist Church Road in the area of Burning Oaks Lane for the motor vehicle accident. Initial reports advised of a vehicle into a utility pole.

Units arrived to confirm one into a pole, with the utility pole sheared off at the ground. The squad crew secured the vehicle while EMS personnel assessed injuries. The second ambulance was placed in service. Ambulance 296 transported to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital.

Units operated for thirty minutes.
