Our Annual Children's Christmas Party

On Sunday the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department held our Annual Children's Christmas Party. We celebrated another successful year as kids smiled, sang, won prizes, watched a puppet show and waited for Santa Claus to arrive.

Around 1730 hours Santa made his landing in a nearby field and Retired Engine 222 went and picked him up. The children were so excited when he pulled up with the lights and siren wailing! Once he made his way inside, he was met by numerous children. A line quickly formed so that everyone could sit on Santa's lap.

Henry Fowler did an excellent job coordinating our Christmas Party as he has always done in the past. We would like to thank the community for their participation.
