On Saturday afternoon, Engine 23 left for its new home. The Cool Springs Fire Department, located in North Carolina purchased the 2003 Dash engine after coming up last month and looking it over. A deposit was left with Chief Raley to hold the engine as Chief Webster from Cool Springs advised they'd be back to get the engine in a few weeks.

This gave us time to remove equipment, such as radios and small tools that weren't part of the sale.

We hope she serves the residents of Cool Springs as well as she served those here in Mechanicsville.

One interesting note is she could be reunited with her past running mate, Squad 2 as they will only be about twenty five miles apart!!!
