New Wagon Under Construction at Pierce - Updated

04/09/2016 - This week, remaining follow-up items and graphics were completed on Engine 23. It is now in the customer acceptance area for final inspection. Committee members travel to conduct the final inspection on April 10th.

04/02/2016 - This week, remaining testing and follow-up items were being addressed as our new apparatus was moved through final product evaluation. Next week, expect truck to move to customer acceptance area for final inspection. Apparatus Committee members will be traveling to Pierce to conduct the final inspection on April 10th.

03/26/2016 - This week, follow-up items were being addressed on our new pumper after it moved through testing and alignment. Next week, follow-up work will continue and should be scheduled for final product evaluation.

03/19/2016 - Apparatus committee members inspected the new wagon on March 14th and 15th. Some minor changes were made and the crew was pleased with how the rig is coming along. Completion date is slated for April 4th.

03/09/2016 - We received some updated photos from Salesman Randy Schwartz, who is currently at the factory, of the new engine. This week, the pump module was mounted on the chasis and last night, the body was mounted. Committee members will be making a midpoint inspection trip on Monday and Tuesday next week.

03/04/2016 - This week, our new apparatus cab was mounted on the chassis after drivetrain installation while the body and pump module completed paint process.

02/26/2016 - This week, our new apparatus cab was moved to cab build queue while the body was in fabrication and pump module moved to paint process.

02/19/2016 - This week, our apparatus cab moved through the paint process while the pump module was being assembled.

02/12/2016 - Today we received word that our new engine has started production. Attached are some pictures of the cab being built. We will receive weekly updates on its progress and will post them here on the website and our social media pages.

After several months of meetings, the Department has entered into a contract with Pierce Manufacturing to construct a state of the art engine for the department. The new engine will replace our 2003 Pierce Dash. Additional details will be coming as we start the engineering and build process. The concept drawing is shown and some changes have already been made to it. Once we receive the build drawings, they will be posted.

On September 24th and 25th, engineering was done at Pierce for Engine 23. Attached are updated drawings of the front, rear, pump panel and graphics. Engine 23 will be a 2016 Pierce Enforcer, with stainless steel body, 1250GPM pump and 750GWT. This state of the art firefighting machine is slated for delivery in early April.
