At 0941 hours we were alerted with surrounding departments for the reported house on fire in the area of the northern entrance of Old Village Road at Three Notch Road. Initial reports advised it to be a working fire.

Engine 24 arrived, laid a 4" into the scene advising they were on side 'Alpha" of a one story, single family with smoke showing. The crew stretched a 1.75" attack line, forced the front door and were met with fire coming from the kitchen area, quickly knocking it down.

Chief 2 established the "Three Notch Road Command". The incident was scaled back to the units from Station 2, Charles 2 and 7 after the fire was brought under control and the check for extension was completed.

The fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshals Office and any one with information is urged to contact them.

Units operated for approximately two hours.
