New Market Fatal

At 0809 hours, RES2CUE was alerted with EMS Stations 29, Charles 102 and Medic 4 for the motor vehicle accident at Three Notch Road and New Market Road. Initial reports were of one unconscious.

As units were responding, law enforcement arrived and confirmed one unconscious and advised for EMS to step up their response. RES2CUE arrived to find a "T-bone" style collision with one trapped who had no pulse. Fire Chief 2 established the "Three Notch Road Command" and advised same. The crew performed a rapid extrication and EMS personnel worked the patient for several minutes. Unfortunately, the individual succumbed to their injuries.

Ambulance 297 transported two priority three patients to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital

Units operated for approximately forty-five minutes.

The officers and members extend its' deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this incident.
