Engine and Rescue Go 2nd Due

At 0922 hoursay, Engine Companies 5, 2, 1, Charles 14, Charles Tanker 2, Truck 1, Water Supply 5, and EMS Stations 59 and 29 were alerted to 36273 Mill Point Road for smoke in a residence.

Chief 5 arrived and found smoke coming from a chimney and advised Engine 52 to lay out prior to the residence and investigate. Engine 52 and 51 arrived and began an investigation, with Chief 5 advising he now had smoke showing from the attic of the one story single family.

Engine 24 arrived next and assisted Division 1. Fire was found in the wall around the chimney extending into the attic. Crews extinguished the same.

Rescue 2 assisted Engine 14 with chaining the chimney.

Units were in service at 1030 hours.
