Two Extricated On Point Lookout Road

At 1346 hours, RES2CUE was alerted to Point Lookout Road in the area of Harpers Corner Road for the motor vehicle accident with personal injury. Initial reports advised of a single vehicle into a fence.

Fire Chief 2 (Raley) arrived confirming a single vehicle with possible entrapment. Command was established and after further assessment, extrication would be required. The assignment was held with the rescue, two BLS units and two units from SMALS. A medevac was requested but was down due to weather conditions.

The crew from the rescue removed both sides of the vehicle in order to free both patients. Ambulance 298 transported one patient to Medstar St. Mary's Hospital priority one and Charles Ambulance 158 transported the other priority two to Charles Regional in La Plata.

Units operated for approximately an hour.
