At 1518 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted to Three Notch Road in the area of Mechanicsville Elementary School for the motor vehicle accident with injuries. Initial reports advised one patient with a significant head injury.

Rescue Squad 2 arrived and confirmed a three vehicle collision, with one occupant still in one of the vehicles. Crews assessed the scene and stabilized the vehicle with the patient and assisted EMS with removing him from same. There were a total of two patients needing treatment. Upon further assessment, one would need a medevac bringing Trooper 7 to the scene.

Engine 24 responded for the landing site, which was established on southbound Three Notch Road adjacent to the accident scene.

One patient was transported to Prince George's General by Trooper 7 and the second patient signed a release and went to Calvert Memorial Hospital in a privately owned vehicle.

Units operated on the scene for hour.
