Rescue Squad Goes to Hughesville Fatal

On Wednesday, at 1535 hours Rescue Squad 2 was alerted mutual aid to Charles County in the area of Leonardtown Road and Herbert Road for the motor vehicle accident with subjects trapped. Rescue Squad 2(DFC Bellevou) and Chief 2A made the response with six.

Hughesville units arrived first advising they had one priority one patient, and one priority four patient with entrapment. Rescue Squad 2 and Chief 2A assisted personnel on scene. No extrication was required as the door was opened by hand to the patient that was trapped.

Charles Paramedic Ambulance 2 requested a helo for the patient that was a priority one. Units on the scene established the landing zone which was just south of the accident on Leonardtown Road.

Units remained on the scene for about an hour before clearing assisting with clean-up.
