Engine Company Goes First Due |

At 1220 hours, Engines 2, 7, 22, Charles 2, Charles 5, and 1, Truck 7, Water Supply 5, and EMS Units were alerted to 28755 Weesies Way in Mechanicsville for a reported House on Fire. Engine 24(Lt. Bryant) and Engine 224(FF Blizek) made the response just after dispatch. Engine 24 arrived first, and found a 2 story, split-foyer with fire showing from the front porch. After a quick investigation, Engine 24 found a small amount of fire on the porch and held the assignment to Engine 24, 74, and Truck 7 for extinguishment and overhaul. Crews operated for approximately 1 hour and assisted the fire marshal before clearing for a residential fire alarm in the first due. Photos Courtesy of hvfd7.com |
